1. It is not OK to let non-licenced users to work with glovebox. You are to contact instrument responsible and book for a training to get the licence.
2. It is not allowed to use the following inside the glovebox,
a) aqueous solvent/solution,
b) floating powder which can spread everywhere and contaminate the environment,
c) volatile chemicals which can modify/change the nature of other compounds in side glovebox (PS: this doesn’t apply when vapor dopants are properly used only inside the left box where probe station stays),
d) other stuff which can be detrimental to the inside environment and samples from other users.
3. It is not allowed to store flammable stuff (solvents, compounds, or any materials) close to the ignition sources. Especially, the flammable solvents should be placed as far away from the heater as possible.
4. It is highly recommended that before using the glovebox, book it on lims.
a) If you are going to use the evaporator on the left box, please either book it on lims or otherwise discuss with the current user and share the time and space.
b) Please keep in mind, that, a maximum continuous booking period is 48 hours.
5. Clean the glovebox after using.
Don’t leave wasted pipes, glass, silicon wafer, etc. inside
Don’t forget to turn the heater off if you are not going to do thermal annealing overnight.
Do not store samples samples in glove box.
6. It is highly recommended that the users pump 3 times before taking samples inside, and before taking samples outside, if you are not certain whether the antechamber is filled with N2, or Air.
7. Please report to instrument responsible or lab technician if you find that any gloves are leaking or if you observe any other abnormal phenomenon, so that we can solve them timely and reduce the damage to the materials/samples to the minimum.
