The Tempest laser system is a compact, high-performance Nd:YAG laser, featuring harmonic wavelengths of 1064 nm, 523 nm, 355 nm, 266 nm, and 213 nm as well as repetition rates of 10 Hz, 20 Hz, 30 Hz, and 50 Hz. The 213 nm wavelength has been added to the 10, 20 and 30 Hz models. The 50 Hz rate is available 1064 nm, 532 nm, 355 nm, and 266 nm wavelengths. The changes enhance the speed and versatility of the system, which has been designed for laser-induced breakdown, Raman spectroscopy, laser ablation, and other scientific and OEM applications.

The flashlamp-pumped system features beam pointing and pulse-to-pulse stability. It provides energy output as high as 200 mJ/pulse at 1064 nm and enables operating convenience with single-shot, continuous and TTL trigger control. The system's configuration requires only a few changes to change from fundamental to optional harmonic wavelengths.
